The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS), with support from the Educational Testing Service (ETS), launched this website to help universities around the world improve diversity and inclusion in master’s and doctoral education.

How do I use this website?

There are two kinds of content on this website.

  • Essays written by international leaders in the field of postgraduate education on pressing issues in the field. These essays can be found under the “Education Resources” menu at the top of the page.
  • Information and resources designed to inform postgraduate diversity initiatives. These include research articles, syllabi, and videos from around the world.

The content is sorted in two ways: 1) by region, and 2) by category. Each resource is given a region tag (Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, North America, South America, and Sub-Saharan Africa) according to what geographical area the resource is from or is studying. Furthermore, each resource is given at least one category tag. Categories include Access, Student Success, Mentoring, Methods and Metrics, Curricular Innovation, and Case Studies. Category tags correspond to under which pressing issue the resource is responding to. Resources may have multiple regional and category tags. All resources are also keyword-searchable.

How do I submit a resource?

To submit a resource for inclusion, please email Matthew Linton at the Council of Graduate Schools (mlinton@cgs.nche.edu). Submissions will be selected on the basis of topic relevance and potential to contribute to a broad range of diversity and inclusion issues in master’s and doctoral education
